Perth Poetry Club has wonderful poets Virginia O’Keefe & Anna McCracken + open-mike, this Saturday 23rd November, 2pm-4pm at The Moon Café and on Zoom.
Virginia O’Keefe has lived across most states and taught in high schools for most of my life. She is fascinated by social history. She is interested in people and their stories; the landscapes and people inform her writing. She is a KSP poet.
Her poetry has been published in local Perth anthologies and she has won awards including the Creatrix Prize for Poetry 2021 and The Poetry D'Amour Prize 2021. She has also won the Creative Connections Prize and been twice short listed for the Tom Collins.
Anna McCracken is a multi genre writer, systems thinker & bridge walker, living on unceded Djugun-Yawuru Country. Anna has degrees in Social Work & Human Rights Law and loves to marinate on the relationships between ecology, mythology, queerness, sickness & settler colonial experiences that live both inside and outside her flesh.
