Perth Poetry Club has wonderful poet Colin Young, plus open-mike, this Saturday 12th October, 2pm-4pm, at The Moon Café & on Zoom.
Colin Young twists his writing kaleidoscope to view the world in all its mystery. He’s interested in sexuality, nature and people’s different responses to love and death. He’s thrilled that his first book Between Stations was published in 2022. And he’s grateful to the Perth poetry community that has helped and inspired him all the way.
Colin Young also is a pinpoint in a meaningless cosmos, trying to make sense of it all with catcalls of poetry into the void. He hopes to make people laugh, cry or wake up. He’s been published in Recoil 10, Creatrix 3, Ros Spenser anthology 2019, Poetry d’Amour 2019, and Grieve anthology 2020 + his book Between Stations. New word for 2030: detrumpify!
We will have “before reno” Pizzas at half-time to celebrate the changes under way. The Moon Café has new roof sheeting plus insulation, and a new ceiling. Come in and see it.
