Perth Poetry Club and WA Poets Inc has the joint launch of Brushstrokes IV & Sepia Songs, with readings from both anthologies + open-mike,
this Saturday 18th November, 2pm-4pm, at The Moon Café and on ZOOM.
Brushstrokes IV… What a collection! These poems will hopefully entrance, move, terrify, mystify, amuse, and leave readers wondering at the huge range of experience and wisdom encapsulated in their condensed images and succinct phrases. Poems selected by Colin Young, 2023 Ros Spencer Poetry Contest Judge.
Sepia Songs contains recordings of memories from long ago and especially those tinged with nostalgia. The contributing poets each have their own original take on how they have remembered past events in their lives, personal or global, and we come to see how individuals vary in their reminiscing style. Some place a strong emphasis on emotional content, while others focus more on factual details … Shey Marque, Pathways Program Coordinator

There will be open-mike in each half. We plan to have at least 12 open-mike slots overall but open-mikers must keep to 2minutes max each.
