Perth Poetry Club has wonderful poets Andy Kenny & Adelaide Knowles + open-mike, this Saturday 11th November, 2pm-4pm, at The Moon Café and on ZOOM.
Andy Kenny is a 21 year old poet from Perth who is just about to launch their first anthology, and he was recently a finalist in the Australian Poetry Slam competition. Aside from poetry, Andy loves crochet, music, baking and being with their cats, as well as being a passionate queer & trans artist & advocate.
Adelaide Knowles is here for poetry; to write it, to speak it and to hear it. She works with various muses including herself, some real, some imagined, but all present in some way in the fantasia of experiences that shape the world in front of her. She is a fan of the romantics, the unromantics, the pedantics and the rebels, but mostly she’s just peachy keen to make a scene. She believes in transformation through art and often she writes and creates as a means of resistance, searching for herself, her world, her act, her power, her voice and her truth.
She is reading today a semantic cycle that explores stepping in and out of the shadow of belief – to bring you into her world of literature, fairy tale, mythology, magic and madness.
