Parth Rahatekar is a writer and poet from Pune, based in Melbourne. Recently, they were a poetry fellow for The Queer Muslim Project and British Council. Their work explores love, intergenerational violence, and healing. It has appeared globally, including in Vogue India, at the Kolkata Lit Meet and more.

Liam Blackford is a poet on Whadjuk Noongar country. His poetry has been published in Aphor, Apocalypse Confidential, No More Poetry, Spectra, Creatrix (WA Poets), Mingled Voices (Proverse Hong Kong anthology 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022) and Tentacle (Peel Street Poetry).

Kay Cairns is an Irish Australian poet and teacher based in Perth. She grew up during ‘the troubles’ in Northern Ireland, and studied English, French and Russian literature at Queen’s University of Belfast. A past winner of the Tom Collins Poetry Prize, her work has been published in Quadrant and in several Australian poetry anthologies.

Perth Poetry Club holds Mega Open-mike events quarterly as an opportunity for every open-miker to be a feature with 5 minutes (maximum) of performance time.
Best to prepare your performance. Try something different, experimental. Edit and refresh your poems. Hone your performance skills.
