This Saturday 2nd February 2019 we have two wonderful poets, Niel Smith + Fable Goldsmith, and open-mike.
Niel Smith is a first generation Australian, father of five and a primary school principal. As a spoken word artist Niel cuts to the heart of today’s societal and political issues in an honest, personal and, sometimes humorous, perspective.
Saturday 19th January, Ananda Barton + Jane Cornes Maclean!
This Saturday 19th January 2019 we have two wonderful poets, Ananda Barton + Jane Cornes Maclean, and open-mike.
Seventeen days after Ananda Barton was born the United States abandoned the gold standard, although there is no proven link between these two events. Born in Western Australia and growing up in the South West, Ananda’s life has encompassed unemployment, studying ancient history at UWA, the State public service and appointment as an officer in the army of an unrecognized nation.

Sunday 6th January, a No Poetry Sunday Lunch to start 2019
Perth Poetry Club is holding a No Poetry Sunday Lunch on Sunday 6th January at the Red Chilli Sichuan Restaurant, 191 James St Northbridge, 1130am for 12noon.
The restaurant is Fully Licenced. NO BYO please. Gluten-free and vegetarian are catered. Everyone has to pay their own way.

This Saturday 8th December 2018 we have our fourth Mega Open-Mike event for the year.
Perth Poetry Club holds Mega Open-Mikes quarterly as an opportunity for every open-miker to be a feature with 5 minutes (maximum) of performance time.
Best to prepare your performance. Try something different, experimental. Edit and refresh your poems. Hone your performance skills.
Past events have been memorable for the quality of the poetry and performances.
