has wonderful poets Karen Louise & Kym Dee + Open-mike
at The Moon Café, 323 William Street Northbridge and on ZOOM.
Karen Louise (she/her) is a performance poet and minimalist songwriter who lives in the jarrah forests of Balingup on Wardandi country. She has performed her poetry at venues including Perth Poetry Festival, Badass Tiny Poems and the Sydney Opera House in the 2024 Australian Poetry Slam National finals. Her poems have been published in Australia, Ireland and Wales, including this year’s Poetry D’Amour anthology by WA Poets.
Kym Dee is a South West writer who rhymes and slams on stages from a crate at Lost Bill’s Bar in Bunbury to the Sydney Opera house. She tells tales of whatever her brain grabs onto and metaphors the crap out of it. Her favourite poetic device is a spatula.

# Poetry: $20 paid performance for an 8 minute poetry set, poetry on ANY THEME
# Poets: Looking for 7 WA poets that are at least ONE of the following: poets 18-25yo, poets with experiences with cancer, poets who have lost a loved one to cancer.
# How it works: DucK&dASh will raise funds for teens with cancer by selling $10 tickets, and match the cost of their event with a $220 only donation to the charity
