C J O’Harte is a gender confused and generally confused, neurodiverse writer living in Boorloo. C.J. has served as a judge on the WA Premier’s Book Award for the last two years, including judging the inaugural poetry category and Book of the Year.
CJ has recently emerged from the chrysalis of a midlife crisis, not as a butterfly but as a moth. But this did come with the obligatory sports car that apparently resembles the Batmobile. Unfortunately, this didn’t come with a Catwoman half their age.
When CJ is not shackled to his keyboard or self-flagellating, CJ works as a mental health clinician specialising in Early Psychosis and sees the odd client privately as a Gestalt Psychotherapist.
C.J.'s work is deeply rooted in a commitment to challenging norms, subverting the dominant paradigm, and pure, unabashed silliness.
CJ has previously been published in Poetry d’Amour and wrote and acted in a short film about wage theft entitled The Nights Takings, which premiered at the World of Dark Comedy film festival in 2024. And in a former life, appeared before three Federal Parliamentary Committees giving evidence against Robodebt, predatory lending products, and financial abuse.
Jan Napier is a Western Australian writer. Her work has been showcased in journals and anthologies both within Australia and overseas.
Her poems have appeared in Westerly, Famous Reporter, Poetry New Zealand, The Moth, Liquid Amber, Australian Poetry Collaboration (Les Wicks), The Mozzie, plus other publications. Over the years Jan has had poems placed in the Ros Spencer comp, the KSP Poetry Prize, Tom Collins Poetry Prize, The Ethel Webb Blundel Poetry Prize and others. Jan grows ferns and hopefully poems in the burbs.
