Perth Poetry Club has wonderful poet, Samantha Melia + open-mike
this Saturday 24th May, 2pm-4pm, at The Moon Café, 323 William Street Northbridge, and on ZOOM.

Samantha Melia is originally from Dublin, Ireland, she holds a Diploma in social care studies, a Bachelor of Science in social psychology and sociology and a Master’s degree in mental health counselling. Samantha lived in the Bronx, New York for ten years and then settled in Perth, Western Australia for the last fifteen years, where she lives with her Irish husband and two daughters.

Samantha is a poet and spoken word performer, who featured in the Perth Poetry Festival 2019, she produces poetry with images on canvas, she is the deputy chair of WAPI and the Perth Poetry Festival director. Samantha has a lifelong passion for mental health and creativity, especially poetry.
