This Saturday 26th November we have wonderful poets Federico Favali (Italy) and Annette Mullumby + open-mike at the Moon and on Zoom.
Federico Favali is an Italian composer and musicologist, having awarded music degrees in Italy, England, USA and Argentina, but poetry plays it part.
He has always written poetry, and self-published a book of poetry titled Canzoniere in 2011, also available on Italian Amazon. His second book, Everybody Loves Favali, will be published soon. He is writing his first novel. His music has been performed all over the world (Germany, England, Argentina, Indonesia, Ireland, Australia, South Korea, United States and Japan).
As a musicologist he mainly deals with the musical analysis of contemporary music. His fields of research include the relationship between Jorge Luis Borges's poetics and contemporary music and the relationships between mathematics and music.
Annette Mullumby was born in London during World War II, but has spent most of her life in Australia. She graduated from The University of Western Australia with a BA in English, then taught upper school English Literature for many years before retraining as a psychotherapist. She worked at her new profession in private practice for twenty years.
Now retired, Annette devotes herself time to spending time with her family and writing poetry and memoir. Her first collection Strategies for Digging out Onion Grass was recently published by Mulla Mulla Press.
