This Saturday 22nd October we have fabulous poets Daphne Milne, Rachelle (of the Tamara Room) and open-mike at Perth Poetry Club, VIA ZOOM and at The Moon Café.
Daphne Milne is well known to the poetry scene in Perth. She is a regular reader, over many years, at Perth Poetry Club and at other venues in WA, on the Australian east coast and in UK either in person or via zoom. Her work is published in various magazines and anthologies [print and on-line] in Australia, UK and USA. She was proud to have a poem chosen for Holocaust Memorial Day in USA for three consecutive years. She is part of the WA Emerging Writers Programme for 2021/2023 for which she has completed a collection of novellas/short stories. A further two projects are under construction on this programme — a collection of Science Fiction and a novel.
Daphne is a member of WA Poets [Australia], Second Light Network [UK] and various other writing groups both in UK and Australia. Her recent Broadcasts/interviews: ILAA [arts programme] with Peter Jeffreys OAM, Fremantle Shipping News [poetry programme], Poetry Place Wiltshire Radio.

Daphne has been living in Fremantle, WA for the past four years and is returning to the UK for Christmas to see her grandsons. Hence the early Christmas special from Daphne.
Rachelle has no accolades or accomplishments relevant to poetry. She is widely unpublished and unprofessional. An anxious wreck of a human being who often shares overly dramatic rants on Instagram. Her upcoming art exhibition ‘Portrait of a Poet’, asks ‘what it means to be a poet in the age of social media’. it features acrylic portraits of poets with Augmented Reality layers.
