This Saturday 6th February 2pm-4pm we have wonderful poet Gabrielle Everall + open-mike, VIA ZOOM only, not at the MOON CAFÉ.
Gabrielle (Gabby) Everall completed PhD in creative writing at The University of Western Australia. While doing the PhD she wrote her second book of poetry, Les Belles Lettres. Her first book of poetry is called Dona Juanita and the love of boys. She has been published in numerous anthologies including The Penguin Anthology of Australian Poetry, The Turnrow Anthology of Contemporary Poetry, Performance Poets and The Fremantle Press Anthology of Western Australian Poetry edited by John Kinsella and Tracy Ryan.
She has performed her poetry at the BDO, Overload, NYWF, Emerging Writer’s Festival, La Mama Poetica and Putting on an Act. She has also performed at The Bowery Poetry Club in New York and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Recently she performed at the Evil Women Conference in Vienna and the Evil Children Conference in Verona, Italy.
She has subsequently published the second edition of Dona Juanita and the love of boys through Buon-Cattivi Press. John Kinsella included this book as one of the best books for 2020 in the Australian Book Review. She currently studies at Melbourne University.
Gabrielle will be in Melbourne and will zoom in. All this with open-mike.
The venue is not Moon Café, 323 William St, Northbridge. Covid restictions limit their cafe capacity to 25 for the ENITIRE place. Please support them for the next 2 weeks as much as possible.
