Saturday 30th May - Lisa Collyer and Raj Pandey (Nepal) + open-mike! VIA ZOOM

This Saturday 30th May we have two fine poets Lisa Collyer and Kashiraj (Raj) Pandey (Nepal) + open-mike VIA ZOOM.

We apologise we are not at the Moon Café but we will be via ZOOM.

The Zoom session is on Saturday, 30th May 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

Lisa Collyer is a poet.  Her work is imbued with the ‘body’ exploring how women’s physical experiences shape a life.  She is a participant of the FAWWA (Fellowship of Australian Writers WA) Emerging Writers program and a member of the Voicebox Collective.  Her work can be read in the book, ‘Letters to our Home’ (creative reflections on the climate crisis) by Mulla Mulla Press.

Born and raised in a beautiful, mountainous village of Nepal, Dr Raj Pandey lives in Kathmandu with his family.  Dr Pandey is a life-long educator, researcher, and is, at present, an English professor at Kathmandu University.  He has published a book “Writing Power”, has written travelogues, short stories, and poems about people, places, and professions, both in English and Nepali languages.

Kashiraj came to Australia in 2014 for his study after having won a bursary in the Australia Awards in open competition.  He returned to Nepal in 2018 after completing a PhD from Murdoch University in Transformative Learning using an Arts-based, auroethnographic methodology.  While he was in Perth, Dr Pandey regularly participated in Perth Poetry events.  His poem, “When Her Heart Speaks”, was published in the 2016 Poetry d'Amour Anthology.  Dr Pandey is writing his second book, “Theorizing Transformative Learning: The Power of Autoethnographic Poetics in Education”, and plans to complete it by the end of this year, 2020.
