Saturday 16th of December, Mega Open-Mike Event!

This Saturday, it’s the last gig for 2017 as a Mega Open-Mike Event where everyone is a feature, 16th December 2017 at Perth Poetry Club.  

Perth Poetry Club holds Mega Open-Mikes quarterly as an opportunity for every open-miker to be a feature with 5 minutes (maximum) of performance time. 

Best to prepare your performance.  Try something different, experimental.  Edit and refresh your poems.  Hone your performance skills.  Past events have been memorable for the quality of the poetry and performances. 

Saturday 2nd of December, J.P. and Melissa Clements!

This Saturday, it’s J.P. and Melissa Clements as our features on 2nd December 2017 at Perth Poetry Club.

J.P. has an eclectic background, having practised social work for 27 years, a probation officer for the first 8.  She has tried hard not to fall into the abyss ever since.  Her performing career includes: cabaret dancer, dance teacher, travelled as a dancer in production shows, pantomime actress and choreographer.  JP is also an educator, having run ‘poetry is fun’ workshops in a school.

Jenny Blackford writes poems and stories for people of all ages.  Her poems have appeared in Australian and international anthologies and journals including Westerly, Australian Poetry Journal, The Pedestal Magazine, Strange Horizons and Going Down Swinging.
