This Saturday 14th August 2pm-4pm we have two wonderful poets Peter Ramm (NSW) and Yuyutsu Sharma (Nepal) + open-mike at the Moon Café and on Zoom.
Peter Ramm is a poet and teacher who writes on the Gundungarra lands of the NSW Southern Highlands. He has been widely published in Australian academic and literary journals and has won multiple awards for both his poetry and education writing. Recently, Peter was awarded a writer’s residency with the WestWords Daffodil Cottage Artist Residencies in the Blue Mountains and with SCWC Wollongong Botanic Garden Writers in Residence Program. As a teacher, Peter has worked in NSW High Schools for over a decade and is the Head of Humanities in his current position. Peter has spoken at a range of State and National conferences on the teaching of English and History.
Yuyutsu Sharma is a world renowned Himalayan poet - recipient of fellowships and grants from The Rockefeller Foundation, Ireland Literature Exchange, Trubar Foundation, Slovenia. Half the year, he travels and reads all over the world and conducts Creative Writing workshops at various universities in North America and Europe but goes trekking in the Himalayas when back home.
