Last Gig of 2015! Saturday 12th of December, featuring Claire Potter and Tony Curtis!

Be there for our Last Gig of 2015 with the fabulous Claire Potter and Tony Curtis. See their Bios and Pics below. 

The venue as always is the Moon Café 2pm-4pm, 323 William Street Northbridge.

Then after the gig join us at the End of Year After Gig Picnic - Pizza in Hyde Park from 4:30pm onwards.  BYO Drink and Nibbles.  

Perth Poetry Club will provide $100 worth of pizzas. (walking from the Moon Café, enter Hyde Park at Lake Street, cross the land-bridge between the two lakes, and picnic on the Vincent Street side).

We recess during Christmas and New Year's and resume at the Moon Café on 16th January 2016 to start another year.  Have a safe and happy celebration but try and be there this Saturday for two great feature poets plus open-mike as always.

Claire Potter received a Young Australian Poets Fellowship from the Poets Union in 2006.

Since then, she has published a full length collection entitled Swallow with Five Islands Press and two chapbooks with the Poets Union and Vagabond Press. Her poetry has been awarded numerous prizes, been short-listed for Premier’s Literary Awards and translated into French and Chinese.

This year, she participated in the Australian/New Zealand Literary Festival in London. She lives and works in London and is working on her second collection.Tony Curtis was born in Dublin in 1955. He was educated at Essex University and Trinity College Dublin. 

An award-winning poet, Tony has published nine warmly received collections.  His most recent collection is Approximately in the Key of C  (Arc Publications, 2015).  In 2003 he was awarded the Varuna House Exchange Fellowship to Australia.  Tony Curtis has been awarded the Irish National Poetry Prize and has read his poetry all over the world to great acclaim.  He is a member of Aosdána, meaning “people of the arts", an Irish association of artists
