This Saturday 30th March 2019 we have two wonderful poets Lana Moon + Nathan Issel and open-mike at Perth Poetry Club.
Lana Moon is a trans femme poet residing in Perth whose writing focuses mostly on her efforts navigating mental health issues, being trans, parenting and cabbage moths. This is her first time featuring at Perth Poetry Club, she has big dreams of one day not being a moody ball of anxiety and being able to write happier things again though in all honesty she’s worried if she ever actually succeeds at that there’ll be nothing left to write about.
Nathan Issel, soon 27, was born into a world of poets, musicians, artists and scientists. Publishing short stories while failing high school English, studying medicine on merit while homeless. He’s been sent internationally to read at special events, slept in public toilets and dined with presidents. Although no person has managed to ‘figure him out’, no one can deny his heart for people, indomitable spirit, or capacity to prove that even shit hitting a fan can be beautiful.
Join us this Saturday afternoon 2pm - 4pm at the Moon Café, 323 William Street Northbridge to celebrate with Lana Moon + Nathan Issel + open-mike at Perth Poetry Club.
